Knowing

Brief Summary:

Ok so Knowing is the movie about a teacher who finds a prediction for the end of the world, and he can't stop it. So.... what the heck is he supposed to do? Well it turns out his son has something to do with all this and he is supposed to go with some aliens to start the human race over or something. I know, it's not really what you would expect of that kind of movie.

John:

John is a college teacher for the earth and solar sciences, with a loving child named Caleb. I thought John was an OK character in an OK movie. Usually I like Nicholas cage and the kind of movies he's usually in, but with this one, I don't know...

Story:

Well, I'll give them this: the story was creative and it could have been a great movie if they hadn't totally ruined the ending. Personally, I thought the end pretty much sucked. It ruined the whole movie for me because I was expecting them to find like the one safe place or whatever. But no, this movie didn't have anything to do with aliens, until the end when they pretty much abducted John's son, Caleb. I thought it was totally random and it ruined the effect of the movie entirely.

Overall review:

I liked the movie until the end, I really did. It was creative, intriguing, and full of action, but the end just ruined the movie for me. Like most things, this is a mere matter of opinion, some may like the ending, most do not.
